Chile

I woke up this morning to find out about the 8.8 earthquake that hit Chile while I was sleeping. Ripples are being felt across the world, with aftershocks affecting Argentina, and tsunami warnings for Hawaii, the Pacific Coast of North America (all the way to Alaska!!) as well as across the Pacific to Japan.

These events seem to be happening more frequently, but this morning I really realized how one event in one country really does affect the whole planet - physically with the aftershocks and tsunami warnings, and emotionally as our hearts go out to people in need. It really hit me today that we are really all in this together. There is no "us" and 'them'. We breathe the same air. We look up at the same moon and sun. We are all connected.

So I take this moment to write my thoughts here and send out love and hope to all the people affected by these earth changes. My prayers go out to the people of Chile and Argentina. I also envision the tsunami to be just a small ripple, in some hope that my focus on a positive outcome will help. Namaste.
